The name "Chyengresi" is derived from the Tibetan name for Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig), the Bodhisattva of Compassion. This divine figure symbolizes the company's spiritual foundation and mission — to create and share sacred art that inspires compassion, mindfulness, and peace.

Early Years
Starting as a small artisan workshop, CHYENGRESI brought together skilled local craftsmen who had learned their metalworking and statue-making skills through generations. These artisans specialized in lost-wax casting (cire perdue), hand-carving, and precise gilding — traditional techniques that make each statue a unique masterpiece.
